About Me

A Life Devoted to Healing and Hope

I am a dedicated consultant, therapist, advocate, and community engagement specialist with a deep commitment to supporting individuals and communities as they navigate the complex challenges of treatment-resistant eating disorders, trauma, and holistic health disparities. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in both professional knowledge and lived experience.

My journey into this work is deeply personal. I survived a terminal, 22-year battle with anorexia — a struggle that ultimately led to hospice care. It was there, in the quiet presence of community and care, that my healing began. That experience reshaped my understanding of recovery. I no longer see healing as something linear or solitary — but as something communal. It takes a village.

Determined to turn my pain into purpose, I moved to Philadelphia to pursue graduate studies, ultimately earning dual master’s degrees in psychology and law, all while working full-time in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. My life and work now reflect a fierce commitment to healing, equity, and empowerment — not just for individuals, but for the families and communities that support them.

I help clients move toward sustainable recovery by blending evidence-based strategies with realistic, individualized treatment plans grounded in compassion, integrity, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen and supported in their full humanity.

My Mission

My mission is to promote healing, equity, and empowerment by addressing both individual and systemic barriers to well-being. I believe healing happens through connection — and that, together, we can build villages of care where no one must walk their journey alone.
